Freedom Games Expands Portfolio with Big Push into Indie Publishing World

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. March 5, 2021 Freedom Games is proud to announce seven new titles are joining the publisher’s growing lineup today. This follows the label’s debut last August alongside the successful launch of Dreamscaper on Steam Early Access. With an early win on their scorecard, Freedom Games now aims to squad up with more talented studios.

As an indie publisher with a “developer-first” approach, Freedom offers equitable terms for its partners. Publishing agreements are specifically tailored to each team’s needs and desires. Freedom doesn’t seek total recoupment of development and marketing costs, nor does the label maintain IP and sequel rights to its titles. Instead, Freedom focuses on setting its studios up for success in every way possible, because it shares their same goals and interests.

Alongside providing contract-based flexibility and ensuring partners retain creative control, Freedom’s team of industry veterans allows it to offer best-in-class support and resources for each client. Helmed by former Curse, Fandom, and Gamepedia executives, Freedom brings expertise and insight to each project, providing developers with the resources and assistance on marketing, web design, public relations, community management, and more.

Freedom also provides in-house QA, development support, business modeling and forecasting, hardware supply, and asset creation services to its partners. This ensures studios have every resource they need, so they can focus entirely on making great products. Its range of services extends to all clients in its publishing portfolio, offering developers a community-based network for teams to collaborate, discuss projects, and enjoy an inviting atmosphere.

The new titles Freedom Games portfolio today include One Lonely Outpost from Auroran Studios, Little Rock Games’ To The Rescue, Coromon from TRAGsoft, OverPowered Team’s Godstrike and Ruin Raiders, Slaughter League from Microwave Games, and stellarNull’s Anuchard. Freedom Games is elated to begin shining a spotlight on these promising projects and harnessing their team’s decades of video game industry experience, guiding their partners through the process of navigating the critical time of launch and beyond.

“At Freedom Games, we strive to offer our development partners everything they need to make the best possible product,” said Donovan Duncan, co-founder, Freedom Games. “Our industry experience and services help set us apart from other publishers, but the real secret to Freedom Games is that we are a family first and foremost!”
